Benoit Allouis (b. 1989, Saint-Brieuc, FR) is a photographer whose primary interest lies with the representation of the natural landscape and the built environment. He is currently based in Paris but has lived and worked extensively in New York City and all over the American West. A self-taught photographer with degrees in law and economics, he uses both medium and large format photography to explore contemporary issues around land use, urban development, semiology and, more broadly, to reflect on the dynamics of representation and exclusion.
